The LIVE Lab was officially inaugurated during the workshop “From Aortic Biomechanics to Personalized Therapies: Integrating AI, Bioprinting, and 3D Modeling”, held at Collegio F.lli Cairoli.

The event brought together researchers, clinicians, and experts to discuss emerging approaches in cardiovascular research and personalized medicine, with a focus on AI, bioprinting, and 3D modeling. Organized within the framework of the ERC Consolidator Grant EPEIUS, the workshop marked the beginning of LIVE Lab’s mission to advance interdisciplinary research in vascular biomechanics and the development of innovative bioactive endovascular devices within the ecosystem of the Università degli Studi di Pavia.

A special thank you to Prof. Gerhard A. Holzapfel and Prof. Santi Trimarchi for their inspiring keynote lectures, and to all speakers and participants for contributing to such a stimulating scientific discussion.

The strong participation of students and young researchers further highlighted the growing interest in interdisciplinary cardiovascular research.
