We were pleased to welcome Prof. Patrick Segers from the Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Technology (IBiTech), Ghent University, Belgium, for a seminar entitled:

“Applications of Computational Models in Cardiovascular Medicine: the Ghent Experience”

In his talk, Prof. Segers provided a concise and insightful overview of the use of computational modeling to support both fundamental and applied research in cardiovascular pathophysiology, as developed by the BioMMedA research group at Ghent University. His presentation emphasized the value of in silico approaches in understanding disease mechanisms and improving clinical decision-making.

We sincerely thank Prof. Segers for his inspiring contribution and the stimulating discussion that followed. We look forward to future opportunities for collaboration.
