The LIVE Lab. is part of the CompMech Group of the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Pavia University.

The LIVE Lab is equipped with all biological facilities for cell culture and histology. Moreover, the Lab is equipped with different 3D extrusion-based bioprinters.

CELLINK INKREDIBLE+

CELLINK INKREDIBLE+ bioprinter is a pneumatic-based extrusion 3D bioprinter with dual heated printheads and UV LED curing system (365nm, 405 nm) for crosslinking the 3D printed constructs. It has a patented Clean Chamber Technology and HEPA-filtered positive air pressure inside the printing chamber. The printer allows the printing of different materials: hydrogel and thermoplastic (e.g. PCL).

CELLINK BioX-Gen 3

CELLINK BioX-Gen 3 is an extrusion pneumatic-based bioprinter equipped with three printheads. The printheads are developed to suit many different biofabrication projects. The BioX design incorporates features that ensure ease of cleaning and sterility, critical for cell-based applications. It includes a sterile printing environment, reducing contamination risks when working with living cells.

Axolotl Axo A3

Axolotl Axo A3 bioprinter is a pneumatic-based extrusion 3D bioprinter with three print-heads. The print-head can be heated up to 265 °C. It is equipped with a UV-C sterilization system avoiding contamination. The printer allows the printing of different materials: hydrogel and thermoplastic (e.g. PCL).

TissueLabs TissueStart™

TissueStart™ produced by TissueLabs is an extrusion-based bioprinter equipped with two piston micro-extrusion printheads. The dual-extrusion system enables seamless coaxial and mixing printing in a compact, robust, and cost-effective design.

TissueLabs TissueRay™

TissueRay™  from TissueLabs is a masked stereolithography (MSLA) bioprinter that uses light-based photopolymerization to fabricate 3D biological structures with high resolution and throughput. The system enables the production of microfluidic devices, organs-on-chip, cell-laden constructs, and scaffolds for applications in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.

Bio3DPrinting Electrospider

Electrospider is an innovative technologyof biofabrication that allows to deposit fibers in space in a controlled way, to print 3D structures using microextrusion of multimaterials, combining electrospinning and microextrusion. Moreover, it is able to generate 3D cellular constructs having the complex topology of human tissues.
